Since yesterday my babies movements have decreased in intensity - I'm still counting as many movements in a day but they are much fainter. Last night in bed I was really uncomfortable, getting nudges in my cervix and bladder for a while which were not nice but they didn't last long.

I'm used to seeing my baby through my bump - limbs and stuff poking around, but I haven't had that since yesterday, the movements are still there but they feel more muffled.

Is this something I should call the MW about? I was also worried the baby might have turned back to back but surely if that had happened I would be feeling loads of outwards kicks rather than inwards ones?

Maybe the baby has just changed position? I hate worrying. I'm contemplating calling the MW but not sure if I'm wasting her time because the movements are still there I just have to concentrate more to feel them as they are more muffled.

Should I call the MW or not? xx

I have had this for weeks hun and really should go and get checked out, but I have 'always' had a quiet baby so feel this way everyday and would never be out of the hospital. Call your MW if it is a noticeable difference and get checked out for reassurance if nothing else.

Baby probably has changed position or is having a sleep or has been awake all night but unfortunately, without a belly flap to look thru these are things we will never know for sure :flower:

I had the same experience and was so worried yesterday that I called the hospital and they told me to come in.
I was hooked up to a monitor and a midwife and doctor looked at the baby's heartbeat and movements. They reassured me that everything was fine, the baby just has less space for 'big' movements now. I was told that I had done the right thing, so always better to put your mind at rest and give someone a phone.
Hope everything is just fine xx

Definitely call your MW hun. I had to a few weeks ago and felt I was wasting their time but they were happy to help and it wont do you any favours sitting there worrying. And Minky moo I suggest you do the same hun.

Thank you girls, I'm gonna give it an hour to see if s/he livens up a bit but if nothing picks up I will give the midwife a quick ring. x
