Hi Ladies,

My baby is usually very active, especially first thing in the morning but I haven't felt a thing today :nope:. Do you think it's okay? At what point do you start to worry about no movement? Days? x

Didnt want to read and run..... have you tried the usual things... something cold to drink etc?? Maybe take a lie down and drink some very cold water or ice cream xxxxx

i read up on this not so long ago and there was alot of ladies saying they felt less or no movement for a period of time and all seemed to be 26 weeks but i really dont no if its common or anything my advice would be if you are worried then ring your midwife and see what they suggest hunny...easier said than done but try not to worry im sure bubs is just fine xxx keep us posted xx

yes i would definitely ring the midwife, she would have the best advice! Don't they say 10 kicks a day? if not contact your midwife.

I think they usually say you don't need to monitor movements until 28 weeks or so...but honestly, if this is unusual for your baby and you're really worried, I would go get it checked anyway.
I was in for monitoring yesterday because my baby wasn't moving, and they told me they would rather I be there every day for monitoring than ignore the reduced movement.
Hope everything is okay. :hugs:

Thanks everyone, think its got going now but just a lot lighter movement than normal so not quite sure. My placenta is at the front so baby may be at the back and I'm just not feeling it...would ring my midwife but she went on maternity leave! I wasn't told and now have no set midwife so wouldn't know who to ring! xx

Yep! I agree - my LO had almost 2 whole weeks around then when he didn't move much, it was really upsetting. He was fine though. Midwife says he was going through a growth spurt and was using all his engery to grow.

There were days where I was sure I didn't feel him until the evening, they weren't fun.

I would definetly have something very cold and sweet and go lie down and if your still worrie head over to the emergency room.

When this happened last time i would have something cold and very sweet and then lie down for 20 minutes and if i had not felt anything after that i would try again and then call midwife.

If you have an anterior placenta then i am sure its just babies position.

im glad someone else posted i was just about to go to have it checked.. im only 22 weeks but my baby is very active and i felt him at 14 weeks. yesterday and today didnt feel much movement till i had sweets and cold drink thank you ladys

I had a slow down of movement around 19-22 weeks and then again at around 27 / 28 weeks. They go through growth spurts where you dont feel as much as usual.

I remember having days when i felt nothing

But talk to your MW to put your mind at rest x

i dont believe that 28 weeks should be the time to start monitoring. i was 27+4 when gave birth and before then i noticed i couldnt feel baby. i never did again until i gave birth. I should have spoke up. So, OP, if you feel its not right, phone your midwife.
