So, DH has picked up a nasty habit of snoring. Not just a cute little snore, but loud and obnoxious and I cannot sleep at all. If I'm lucky, I am getting 2-3 hours of sleep a night, and that's not even deep sleep. On top of it I have a 6 year old and 2 year old, and work 10 hour days. I am to a point where I am completely exhausted. I am nodding off behind the wheel, at work I keep having dizzy spells and blacking out, and the biggest thing is I've been sick with a cough/sore throat for 5 weeks now.... been on antibiotics twice and still not going away, I'm assuming because of no sleep. Everyone seems to think I'm just whining, but I'm serious when I say I am getting really worried about me and the baby's health. I don't know what to do :(

I banished DH to the couch for lots of my first pregnancy. I needed sleep and I just ended up kicking him for the night when he was snoring!!!

:( that sucks.. I know it's probably a stupid question but does he snore on his side or tummy? My husband snores when he's overtired but mostly on his back, so when he's snoring I just give him a push and he rolls onto his side lol. Seems to work.

Just as a side note, if it is that bad I'd try get him to seriously check it out.. snoring can actually be a bad thing, like sleep apnea etc. If it was my husband I'd force him to see a Dr! Sorry, I'm sure you don't want a lecture hehe

But in the meantime like pp said, get him to sleep somewhere else if possible. It's not fair on you and sounds dangerous if you're almost falling asleep at the wheel. I suffered with insomnia years back and I totally understand how awful sleep deprivation can be.. especially in your situation when you sound so busy!

Hope it gets better for you soon

Ear plugs and a fan can do wonders for drowning out the snoring. There's no shame in separate beds either. Sleep is very important.

Try getting a air purifier or so,etching that might help drown him out. If not then you might to resort to having him sleep somewhere else so that you're able to get some rest.

Thanks everyone - he refuses to go to the couch so I'm either on the couch or a little bunk bed (i'm a plus size girl so no room, plus pregnant, bleh). He thinks I'm just crazy and that it's not that bad... he's been told to see a specialist but he won't go either. We already have a box fan on, I'm afraid with ear plugs I won't hear my alarm or kids if they need anything though :-/
