Not sure I should even bother testing - thoughts?

I'm 12DPO and for the past two days I've had on & off pink/brown spotting. I thought AF was starting this morning, but it's stopped now. But last month I spotted on & off for four days until AF arrived, so I'm not sure if I should even bother testing.

What would you guys do?

I should tell you to test after your AF is due but I know if it were me I would test a couple of days before lol

I spot before every period for a few days, however, that would not stop me from testing daily until the witch showed up full force haha

Ahh I want to (I still have an unopened FRER 3-pack at home) but I'm just so sure I'm not that I don't want to waste them.. plus if I am, I think I would freak out a little bit because I'm so sure I'm not

I didn't used to spot before mine when I wasn't on BC (years ago).. at most, I'd get a little brown spotting a couple hours before AF full on showed up. But this is my second cycle off the pill and last month I spotted for four days before AF.
It seemed to stop last evening/overnight and then started again this morning and is dark red now but still fairly light when it was pink & brown the last two days, so maybe my cycles are just different now.
I've gone on/off BC several times throughout my life and my cycles always bounced back to normal immediately, but maybe it's just different this time for whatever reason.

I will keep my fingers crossed! Age also can cause some cycle changes. At 30 mine went from 8 days to 4 days long and lightened way up and the brown spotting started happening b4 af would show up. I've been testing with cheapies since 6dpo hahaha (9po today still bfn).
