My husband just today found out he has low testosterone (he's 28) and 99% sperm abnormality. I didn't attend the dr's appointment, but I wish I did. The amount of questions running through my head right now is ridiculous and I can't find answers to any of them. We've been referred to a specialist but who knows how long that will take! Does anybody have any info on treatments, and likelihood of us ever getting pregnant again???? I'm terrified of either never getting pregnant again or having another miscarriage because of poor morphology or shitty side effects of the treatment. Treatments that cost (in Canada) are pretty much out because we simply can't afford them :(

So sorry to hear that your partner has spermy problems, mine does too.

My husband has low sperm count, motility and morphology though not quite as low as 1%. We tried different medications to raise his counts and they did work but not a significant amount.

There is definitely something you can still do but it'd cost money. We are doing IVF with ICSI which means that each sperm is injected into each egg rather than letting them find their own way there. The best ones are picked out by specialists in that field so that your chances of fertilisation are the best they can be.

It is costly though, we've paid almost £6000 but we are in the UK not sure what it'd cost in Canada.

Sending you good luck whatever you choose to do xx

not medication related but:

life style changes like cutting out Alcohol and Smoking often help but it takes 3 months to see an improvement as maturation takes a long period of time

Also underwear choice (baggier better) and not resting laptops ect... on mens laps help to as sperm thrives in cool eviroments and tight underwear and laptop increse heat spots in or near the testical that can cook the little sperms

I have also heard that LESS sex helps as it means you build up a stronger selection of sperm, this can mean having 4 or 5 day gaps between sex instead of the standard 2 which make trying to get the fertile window hard so timed intercourse or ovulation induction (if you OH is the only fertility problem) may help as you could BD on 1 cruical day as opposed to trying to wildly hit all the fertile days

it only takes 1 sperm so it is still possible
