I have been weaning since 17 weeks and oliver is on 3 meals and 3-4 bottles through the day. But i cant think of what to give him!!

He is having veg for dinner, toast or something for lunch and cereal for breakfast.

any recipe ideas?

Hi hun. Omar started having 3 meals at 8 mnths :)this is great progress. We started offering Omar frm what we'r having at 6.5 mnths fork mashed (pasta, rice, stews, baked veggies, etc.). Pasta is very good for starting, I used to over cook it when we started & prepare home made sauce (bol or cream sauce with some veggies in it). As for breakfast, I mix cereals with 1/2 spoon of fresh yoghurt & some fruits to give him varieties. Sometimes I give him 1/2 weetabix mixed with 1/2 banana & he loves it. At 8 mnths I started offering him eggs (omellet or scrambled with cheese). Dinner is always sth light like yoghurt mixed with fruit puree, or fresh fruits like mangoes, strawberries or banana. Soups r also good. Veggie soup, pasta soup, & lentil soup.

At 6+ mnths u can offer ur LO anything except honey, shellfish & nuts.

ETA: there r lots of ideas in the TW-what ur LO eat today thread xx

Agree with nmwb - check the TW what did ur LO eat today thread.

When I started to introduce "proper" meals I started with chicken casserole and tomato pasta. Just simple things to start with :) now her favourite is fish pie (my version of it anyway - cod, potato, peas, brocolli, milk and cheese) x

finnley has things like weetabix bitesize, yoghurt, fresh fruit, toast for breakfast. Things like sandwiches, scrambled egg on toast, pitta pizza, fruit etc for lunch. And then things like spag bol, pasta, fajitas, chilli, roast chicken etc for dinner with fruit for afters. Whatever me and oh are having for dinner, i just prepare it early enough so finn can have 1st dibs, just remembering to watch salt and sugar levels x
