Hi ladies i went to hospital this morning because i didnt feel the movements i usually feel this morning and got myself in a state as even after a big glass of pure orange my LO still hadnt moved. They carried out an NST and sent me home saying everythings normal and the mw wrote in my notes that baby was very active. Ive felt him move a few times since i got home but not nearly as much as usual and through the test his hb did drop to <100bpm but then came straight back up again. Im in a bit of a stress because although they said at this early stage the hb does drop sometimes when baby plays with the cord etc ... Adding this to the fact im not feeling him as much today im convincing myself somethings wrong. My notes say accelerations were present but no decelerations. My placenta is anterior but its high so it never stops me feeling his kicks.

Confused .... Anyone have experience with nsts?

It may have momentarily picked up your heartbeat .... To not to panic , the drs thought all was ok :hugs:

No decels are good, you don't want those. They might not have counted that one drop because the baby may have just moved off the monitor, that happened a lot with my twins when I started having the NSTs at 27 weeks because they are so small its easy to move around still, its just been this past week that they started staying on better. My little man had one decel at 27 weeks down to 70bpm but it only happened that one time and I have had like 8 NSTs since then and he never had another. I feel my little girl move a lot but my boy's movements for some reason I don't feel so much. He is always active on the monitors but I hardly feel it. I went like a week or two when I was feeling him a lot but I guess its just the position he is in. Maybe your baby just moved into a different position.

the mw said baby may have just moved and the heart rate went back up to 140-150 straight away both times but im just not used to not feeling clockwork movements its freaking me out. Ive noticed on my last scan he was head down and now hes breech so i dont know if this is affecting the movements :-/

I sometimes feel like I am getting a lot less movements but then when I stop lay down and focus on kick counts I still get 10 in an hour but some of them are so light that if I wasn't focusing on feeling the kicks I wouldn't have noticed them. Some of them I don't even notice and I see them but don't feel them. Since he was moving good on the monitors its probably that he is just in a position that makes it difficult for you to feel. His feet might be towards your back or something.
