ok i fail to see the point of these! i have them twice a week. today i dared question the baby's hr being 185-190 for five minutes which i was told was normal. couple weeks ago i dared question the baby's hb stopping and being irregular. all fine I'm told. so what point are these because I'm ready to tell them to stick it. I'm not allowed to ask questions without being bitched at. today this old witch of a nurse told me shut up because they are experts. uh sorry I'm concerned about my baby's hr when ever since i started these it's been in the150s not, 190. i love my regular doctor but so far the people in the childbirth unit are pretty crappy to be around. also found out apparently there is not a doctor on the wing so wtf happens in an emergency. I'm really reconsidering giving birth there!

I have no idea where you are from but being treated like that here would never be tolerated! Nurse telling you to shut up? Can't ask questions? Report those s.o.b.s

Yes, I would walk out of a hospital if treated like that. I do know from many NSTs that those results can be normal, but my doc or the nurse administering the test have never had an issue with explaining things to me, and answering my questions. You deserve to be treated better than that.

I get NSTs too. It is ridiculous that they treat and talk to you like that. I would report that, to your doc, to the hospital, someone!

The NSTs are to asure your baby is doing well! The staff on the other hand is not so nice! I have them weekly at my doc office and if there was an emergency they would send me straight to the hospital (which is attached to their building). I would definitely tell your doctor and let them know how rude those people are being! I ask questions all the time with my doc about what is what on the NST. They explained what was what and I sit there and watch it now and that was how I realized i was having contractions!

Sorry you're being treated so poorly! Hope they become nicer to you! :hugs:

thanks ladies. yes I'm going to talk to my regular doctor. i mean seriously i have a right to questions and get reasonable answers. i live in a fairly rural area so i don't have much choice where to go unless i drive an hour
