Nuchal scan at 12w 2d and was told the sex !!!

Hi everyone, when I posted about my scan the other day I forgot to tell you all that I was told the sex!! I didnt think that it was possible .

I jokingly asked if she could see what sex the baby was and she said she'd have a look! Then she said 'it looks very much like a girl', I was gobsmacked and asked her how she could see so early and she told me that she could see from the 'nub angle', Ive read so many threads on here about that, but didnt really know much about it.

The scan was done at Kings College Hospital London in the specialised Harris birthright unit, where all the staff are highly trained and the equipment is top notch, so I wouldnt be so sure had I have been told this at a local hosp, but i am quite confident . I am sooo pleased, as I did secretly want another girl, now Evie is going to have a baby sister, and I get give her my nans names,which means a lot to me .

dont want to put a damper on things but a friend of mine went and had a private scan done at 13 plus weeks...she was told she was having a girl and she even thought it was a girl as they could see girly parts..she then went to have another one done at 17 weeks to find out indeed it was a boy no mistaking it as they could clearly see the boys parts.

As at the stage where you had your scan i dont believe they are fully developed in the gender parts..just dont go buying anything pink till you have another scan that can let you know for sure.

i was told the sex at 12weeks being told its 80% accurate at that stage its a boy. but going for a gender scan next week just to make sure ;0)
