Hi all :)
do you know any good quality well priced nursery furniture sets in white pref i can get? no more than 500 ideally as just spent loads on new sofas! iv already got a cotbed but its pine and im being difficult now and want white :haha:

I had this hun! ended up getting the richmond cotbed and changing table from babies r us (currently on offer) then we bought the dorchester range in argos of 5+2 drawer chest and 2 door wardrobe with 1 drawer was about 200 pound from argosxx

sorry ive just noticed you said £500 was your limit....this whole set is £1000 but if like us, you didnt need the wardrobe etc than its a good price!

i paid £650 for the cotbed, dresser, shelf & blanket box xx

dont u think that the argos stuff feels like its gona fall apart at any given minute though?? ive found a lot ive seen in real life so flimsy??!!xx
 
No idea, mine hasn't arrived yet. I hope not, but then it was really all we could afford.
 
We got white Ikea Pax wardrobes and a white Ikea Hemnes chest of drawers that we will just put a changing mat on top of it's just the right height)

Total for both = less than £350

Not nursery furniture I know, but it's well made, has loads of space, and should last right through until baby is older hopefully

Mamas and papas had a nice set when i went it over the week end that was on sale and im sure it was under £500, check out there website. we gout our furniture from there and it is really good quality!! xx

i knowww :/ but i so want white stuff, pine just doesnt look right :/
can you paint pine? its natural untreated, hasnt been varnished? i dnt know :S

course you can paint pine!! just make sure you get stuff suitable for a babys cot!!

Id buy spray primer & paint to make it easier on yourself too - painting all around those railings with a brush will be LONG otherwise!!x
 
Yes u can paint it!!! From the pic u posted of the cotbed it looks quite varnished, so I'd suggest sanding it down first, then painting!! My stepdad owns a pine furniture business lol! x

EDIT: Get your dad or OH to do it though!! Varnish/Paint fumes might make u lightheaded! :flower: x

we have this in beech for our first lo , the draws are amazing, they fit loads of clothes in


and only £100 for both!! :)

we are putting lo in the bigger spare room and buying this in white
 
thanks everyone :) ttc lolly, it may have looked varnished but its defo not, :) oo ok il ask oh to do that for meeee:D
 
ohhh!! well yeh defo just paint it, it's so nice & u got such a good deal with it :haha: shame to waste it!! xx
 
We have Willow from m&p - really happy with the quality would say it's more cream than White though.
