The room we will be changing into a nursery has ugly old-fashioned false wood panelling. The panels are of various widths. my dilemma is how to paint it. I have a few ideas but I don't quite know how it would look. First off I'm going to say that we will be using a neutral green color most likely.
One is to alternate between two shades of the same color.
The other is to use the same exact shade but in different finishes. (ie flat and semigloss.)
My final thought is that if both of this ideas would look odd is to just paint the whole room the same color. (our room is a neutral off white over the same panelling and doesn't look bad.)
My biggest concern is the alternating on various size boards. I know both ideas would look great if they were all the same width but we're not that lucky. Any inout or different ideas would be greatly welcomed.
