My mum is going to help me pay for our nursery as a gift (its her first grandkid and we've already had a cot and pram donated) and I really liked the sleepy farm range from mothercare but now I have to finalise what I want so she can buy everything, Im having second thoughts.

Whats everyone else got for their nursery? I'm having a girl btw, but I'd like something that would suit a boy if we have more kids. :)

  2. I ve got a winnie the pooh nursery with foam flooring ( well i will have foam flooring when i get it)
    heres some piccys

I think anything with animals, or polka dots are pretty unisex. Good luck and Im sure it will be lovely.

My nursery is painted cream and I have white bedding I've nothing from any ranges and it looks really cute, we're going to personalize it when we know about his personality. Saying that we have got the moonbuzz light fitting from habitat which looks fab.

Thank you for the question I was going to ask a similar question. i am starting to look up prices so I can get a budget together.. I know I want white furniture but I don't know exactly what furniture is necessary

I know everyone is different but were there any items that people bought for their nursery but didn't really use?

btw. Kimbobalooba your nursery looks amazing.

goodluck with your choices kate, I'm sure your ittle girl's nursery will look amazing when it's finished :flower:

    xx

I went for Humphreys Corner theme, as i thought it would suit both genders.

2 of the walls are in yellow (although it looks quite a bit brighter in the pics) and 2 of the walls are matched to the Humphreys corner green/blue. It has changed a bit there are tons of toys in there now but you get the idea... :)

For the time being, we live in a 1 bedroomed flat. The bedroom is big and I want her in with us for the first 6 months so it'll be fine until we move. I need a nursery theme that I can use now and that I can incorporate into her own room when we move.

We've been given a white cot and matching changing unit. And we cant paint the walls, the landlord wants them to stay white.

Everyone has made lovely jobs of this nursery lark btw. :) x

there are some real nice removable wall stickers you could get in almost any theme you would want to add some color to the walls. I did winnie the pooh for mine and then the matching bedding and it has worked well for all my kids I just added pink or blue items to the room to make it more girly or boyish as needed.

I am in the US but I am sure you can find them where you are.

I have the Pooh Doodles range from Asda Direct. I couldn't find the nappy stacker that's supposed to be part of it anywhere, but I got one from the Pooh Organic range on e-bay that still looks like it's part of it. There's Pooh stuff (I think it's Classic Pooh) at Mothercare, but it's a lot more expensive (this was all VERY cheap but is really lovely...and unisex enough in case my sonographer got it wrong)!

get some stickers for the walls buy a couple of packs then you can just peel them off when you leave and you have another set to decorate with when you get your bigger place
