Anyone getting one/got one? I thought it would be handy for night feeds as when hubby is back at work it would be better for me to feed baby in the nursery (when he's being noisy) and infact would be ideal for feeds in general, and I thought one of those gliding nursing chairs would be a good idea. Can be quite expensive though. Do you think its worth getting one?

I'm watching one on ebay at the mo, will get one second hand cos new they are abit expensive new.

I didnt have one first time around as I had comfy sofa now I have a rotten sofa and I an getting one as its cheaper than a reclining chair. I think its worth it as its not just for nursing in its for lazing in. I am getting mine in kiddicare only they all charge me stupid proces for delivery even kiddcare. Most dont recline but the one I have my eye on does think its £149. Looks like black leather to as I didnt like the pine look.

i have ordered one for 159 GBP brand new. they are soooooooo comfy, hubby wants it in the lounge for him to sit on before bubs arrives!!

I got this one as I wanted a chair in the babys room anyway. It's quite expensive i guess but we will use it as a recliner when baby is older and it's sooo comfy.

My MIL bought the John Lewis one for us. Except now this means we have to buy the cot!! I cant believe I have a rocking chair and no cot...
The chair is very comfy but hope its worth it...

Ive got one, got it second hand off ebay £30 bargain! It needed recovered but cost my less than a fiver for the fabric. Its in the living room at the minute and the whole family (including the cats) love it.

i was gonna get one until today... i just picked up a matchin changing unit nd toybox i won on ebay... nd they are pretty big... the nursery is a big double room anyway but i don't think i could fit a chair in!!
the toybox is quite big tho nd i'm just putting some cushions against the wall so its comfy to sit on.
xx

I have one and can't wait to get my room finished so I can get it in my room. I got a fab one for £150 and my mil paid £100 towards it for me :) Definitely worth the money too as it is so comfy and will eventually be used as a comfy place to relax with a book. It's lighter in colour than the pic.

same one only different colour to what I want in kiddicare only they wont answer so I cant see how much they charge me for delivery. I hate how everywhere here they are hundreds and when I want one from a store in england it costs me loads to get it here.

Kiddicare don't charge for delivery for orders over £25 hon' so the price of the chair will be what you pay. hth.

Looks like a big thumbs up for the nursing chair then!! The one I have my eye on is so far £30 on ebay, its a glider with a gliding foot stall...hope it will actually fit in the nursery, in theory it will but I havent yet got any furniture yet so its all guesswork.

Think I'll go for it then and get one! Thanks everyone.

I got one for £100 off Ebay, it's still in the box though as I'm waiting for hubby to carry it upstairs so I can put it up...:coffee: I was originally looking at getting a second hand one off ebay but they always ended up going up to about £70 so I figured for an extra £100 I may as well get a brand new one. It's a Tutti Bambini one so a pretty good deal considering most other store websites are about £140.

i have 2 gliders at the moment and was just given a beautiful old rocker that matches our crib perfectly. someone should live closer to me cause i would share so much!!!!!!!!!! with my other 2 boys, pretty much every single night feed was done in a glider. :)

I have one and I LOVE it!!!!
Was only £119 for gliding chair and gliding stool.
It is unbelievably comfy and I sit in it now even to chill out.
Definately going to be using it to feed in :)
Personally I really wanted one, I don't care if others think it's a waste, I wanted one and so glad I got it, it's not that expensive in the grand scheme of things.
Go for it xxx

Doh. Of course you're in N.I Sorry  Brain fart for me there.

This is our glider/recliner, its made by Best Chair and its in the Storytime Collection. It was pretty pricey but I think we will use it a lot. Ours is the same brown color as the pic but it has cream colored trim.
I don't think that gliders are an absolute must but I think that if you have the space and the extra money to get it its a great thing to have . xx
