Our SeaMonkey has refused to turn by herself after being told she would do throughout my pregnancy.

I have been told that they will discuss my many options but so far I can only think of two (well 3 but I wouldnt consider a natural breech birth)

1) ECV
2) Elective C-Section

Has anyone had experiences of ECV and breech babies? I'm looking for as much information as I can get so that I feel prepared tomorrow and I know I can count on you lovely knowledgeable ladies

Hi,

I'm going for an ECV tomorrow. I'm 36+3 and have been told there is only about a 3% chance that it will move now! If i have to have a C-Section then that's fine, but i will be trying everything possible to be able to have a natural birth. I am much like you and do not want to give birth naturally if the baby is breech.

Please update this tomorrow and let me know how you get on, i will update too and let you know if it's been successful.

Wanted to let you know that i had my ECV yesterday. Not the most pleasant of experiences, but it was bearable. Unfortunately it hasn't worked for me, but if i were given the option again i would definitely try it a second time. The dr was able to move the bottom from my pelvis but the head is well and truly wedged under my ribs. I now have my c-section booked for the 9th December, unless by some miracle the baby turns by itself.
