Oh Em Gee! Doppler question...

Hi All

So a few days ago I got my sonoline b in the mail! Anyhow, I pulled it out immediately (I was 10 weeks exactly). I used it for 20 minutes and couldn't find anything. However, at one point the display shot up to 160 And I thought I super briefly heard something faint.

I tried again today (10+2) and watched the display. Two times within 3 minutes the display picked up something fast, and shot up to high 150s. It would only last a few seconds, then I would lose it.

So, I think I'm picking up the heartbeat, but that its just super deep inside there. I wasn't able to hear anything through the speaker, but I guess the doppler picked up something.

My question is... could that reading have been something other then the heartbeat? Or am I ok to assume that in fact it picked up the heartbeat? I don't want to get too excited if there is another more likely explanation

Hey I had a similar experience today. Heard the hb on monday when my doppler arrived and tried again today and heard a faint but fast noise and the display ranged from 145-155. I am so hoping that was hb but will try leave it for a week or so before i try again. Did you get the 2mhz or 3mhz?

Sounds like you are finding the heartbeat! If you go to YouTube there are seem great videos on there about what all of the different sounds are and the best way to find bubs.. Make sure you start really low and move very very slowly with lots of gel and point in and downwards, if that makes sense!!,.. My bubs moves around a lot, which doesn't help!! Good luck xxx

Cool! I really hope it is I couldn't hear much through the speakers, but it picked something up. It's hiding down behind my public bone I think, to the left. Helps to know where to look!

And I use the 3 MHz one. I'm going to try and wait a few days before trying again, but it's so addictive

10 weeks is verrrrry early to hear heartbeat on doppler, dont get worried if you cant find it.

That would baby I just got mine yesterday. It took forever but finally found hb, it was 155. Can't wait to try tonight.
