Most of the weight falls away in labour as the average baby, waters and afterbirth weigh 2.5 stone!!!!
Personally I've been back into my pre-pregnancy clothes within 2 months of giving birth both times and my pre-preg weight has been very soon after that! I don't worry about it... I don't exercise more or diet, I just look after my LO and concentrate on them. Within weeks you should find that without realising you're very close to how you used to be.
I'm not saying you wont be left looking different, but you will soon feel like you've got your bodies back. Enjoy it, be proud of it!
Ladies you're all looking beautiful! Don't forget the weight gain is for a reason. This is my 4th baby and I've always managed to get back to my pre pregnancy weight after (ok I had to diet but I got there!!!) I've put on 12kg so far. Awful but I try not to think about it too much!
Thank you for sharing ladies, I'm on my phone and my pics are on my laptop, but you have helped me accept how big I am. I think lots of people had made me feel like I'd gained too much, was happy to gain, but I was worried, but looks like it's normal. Don't know how I thought not!
Pink top is my belly at 38 weeks with my LO...and then green top and nakie belly is me now at only 29 weeks with the twins lol lol...I was overweight before both pregnancies anyway and only gained 8lbs over pre preggie weight with her and so far am only 6lbs over pre preggie weight with the boys but I dont think I'll ever be "normal" again lol..
yeah.. I had such a hard time clothes shopping today... thankfully when I complain to my husband he says "but our baby is healthy! She needs to grow in there"...love him for that!
