Eowyn (Ay-o-win) if we have another girl. We agreed on Eve, and DD wants Eve too.

Bloody LOTR! :growlmad:

I don't know if I like it, it's growing on me but Ava and Eowyn. A simplistic name for DD1 and then some uncommon name for possible DD2 doesn't seem right

Stuck for boys names too :dohh:

Most of your children's lives, their names will not be said in conjunction with each other. They don't have to match or go together or follow a common theme. If you like a name, use it. :)

I like it in theory but I think it will probably be mispronounced a lot. That doesn't bother some people, though, so if you don't mind then it's not an issue.

I am big on having sibling names that go together, I do think it's strange when someone names one kid something super traditional/common like Olivia and then names their next kid something that no one has ever heard of.

That said, I don't look at Ava and Eowyn and think they're mismatched. I think the vowels mixed with 'harder' consonants (V & W) actually make them sound/look pretty good together.

I like it better than Ava and Eve. It's like taking Ava and just swapping out the a for an e.

I, personally, love the name Eowyn. DF and I are huge LOTR fans though. In fact, Arwen was one of our names if we have another little girl...

I think Ava and Eowyn sound nice together, though! Ava and Eve seem more "matchy" than what I'd go for, but both are lovely names. What about the name Eowyn Eve? Best of both worlds.

I really love it and I think it sounds lovely with Ava actually!

I like it! I think it sounds really nice with Ava. Eve is really similar to Ava- like Minties said it's just changing A for E. Eowyn and Ava sound really pretty and feminine together I think.

I really love the name Eowyn (I'm not a huge LOTR fan) but it doesn't really work with our surname. I think that Eowyn goes better with Ava and, as a couple of the other ladies have suggested, you could name her Eowyn Eve which sounds beautiful and lets you use both names! :flower:

He always told me if we had another girl (even though he didn't want anymore children, apparently ;) ) he'd want to call her Eve.

Ava doesn't have a middle name and it just rolls off the tongue easily so it'd be a little "odd" in my eyes if second had a middle name. Plus, Eowyn Eve sounds like "Ayo 'n' Eve" and it isn't like it could be double barrelled either because OH isn't a fan of them.

Eowyn Blanshard
Eve Blanshard

Arwen was the other on OH's list too and Arya (GoT). His uncle is staying team yellow and I think Arwen is on his list for a girl as well.

Lol Arwen is my middle name!

Eowyn I've always liked. I discussed the name with a co-worker and she knows someone with that name. They have a little trouble when they meet new people; "Erin??? Erin??"

Takes some folks a bit to realize it's Eowyn and not Erin

Ava and Eowyn go better together than Ava and Eve to me. Actually I can accept that Ava and Eve are a little different in spelling and pronunciation but they are still the same name.
