ohhhhhhhhhhhhh - 5lb 9oz already!

So 'cos of scary bleeding for last 16 days I had a scan yesterday to check the placenta, which is fine...no explanation for bleeding yet, mystery remains.

BUT - the weight estimate (accurate to 1/2 lb up or down) is 5lb 9oz at 33 weeks!!! He's on the 90th centile, so only 10% of babies are bigger than him at this stage. I shouldn't be surprised really, as I was 9lbs 31 years ago and DH was 10lbs 41 years ago but I keep thinking about my poor bits!

Any idea what oil to use for perineal massage???

They say almond oil, but I think oliver oil or just a lubricant is ok to use

Mine was 4.4lbs on the 12th, so I guess I could be over 5lbs now? My fundal height is 2 weeks ahead but baby is average? We are all so different!

I use a completely natural sweet almond oil but they do say just plain old olive oil is fine.

they say normal vegetable oil is used. Although you can use olive oil also x

mine measured 6 lbs 9 oz plus or minus 15 ounces at 36 weeks.... Just think , it is said they grow half a pound a week for the last weeks! My largest baby weighed 9 lbs... smallest was my first at 7lbs 8 oz
