OK!! second sweep!!!

i could take it any more so i called my doctor and he told me to come in and he gave me another sweep. he offered to induce me like today if i really wanted to but i declined, id rather go into labour myself as i plan on using a whole heap of pain killers so if i have to have the drugs id much rather do at least SOMETHING myself.

if shes not here by thursday though, which is my due date, i will be induced because as much as i love being pregnant this stopping and starting crap has been going on for friggin weeks now and i am seriously over it

oh and as of my internal i am currently 2 cm dilated so hopefully things speed up from here. hes told me to go home and do nipple stimulation...can someone help me out here?? what the hell do i do with nipple stimulation

oh how i LOVE that 26 people have read this and zero have commented. about to give up on this damn page it happens to me every time i dont know why i bother i always end up ignored. u go some where for support with 3 days left till ur due date and you get a whole fat load of nothing.

not sure if there is any advice i can offer, maybe get OH to assist with the nipple stimulation! more bouncing on a birth ball too.

This is my first read so I'm innocent of reading and running.

I assume nipple stimulations involves abit of twiddling...not sure though!! Fingers crossed things get moving soon, sounds positive that you are 2cms dilated, hopefully your baby will come very soon. I'm due Sunday and I just so badly want things to get a move on, but I've had no signs, no show, no pains...and he's back to back which is stopping him from engaging, I wouldn't be surprised if I go overdue.

I dont really know about nipple stimulation but my guess is that you need to stimulate your nipples (no sarcasm intended btw). No idea how long for or how to do it, maybe just twiddle them a bit? Or for however long you can put up with it?

Anyway I dont know what time it is there, but here its 4pm - which equals kids coming home hungry from school time. So that may be why some folks arent responding.

FINALLY!!!! SOME ONE has replied. i just get irritated coz it ALWAYS happens to me and i get sick of being niec and doing the right thing by others when i just get friggin ignored. we're all in this together ffs. its not even advice its recognition, i feel like im just being bloody ignored :-/

ive been using the birth ball heaps and ive got a rocking chair which i find actually really helps too lol! im not keen on my oh touching the nipples, knowing what they'll be used for very soon kinda of makes me not want him to see them in a sexual manner which i know he will lol

Rub ur nipples in a circular motion, so that it feels nice, thats all i can say,, i use my finger tips or gently use my nails so im tickling not scratching. Cant say it helps to much. Orgasms are much better so if u feel to dabble in abit of foreplay etc with or without ur OH that be good or if u got a toy.. Get in a hot bath as soon after ur sweep as possible... If u got energy try sex.. Anything to get ur uterus going hun..

Also nipple stimulation ur supposed to do for 20mins/half hour every hour.. My nipples cant handle that it winds me up after 10 mins they sooo sensitive and *leakyyy* now So other things would be best 4 u

Its OK i have to get everything explained to me, so midwife literally had to nearly show me what she meant by nipple stimulation lol poooor woman

You need to use the palm of ur hand covering ur entire nipple n gently rub them in circular motions for about 15 mins each nipple for about 1hour in total i was told, failling that you could try using ur breast pump thats what my mw's told me to do so ur familiar with it aswell

My MW said that sweeps if they work are known to work within 48hrs.. So just sit stimulating and orgasming lol *if thats a word* in a hot bath for 48hrs.. I had a sweep today and she said it hadnt worked buh ama still get in a hot bath after my antenatall class tonight just incase

ok well its almost 1am over here and OH has to get up ay 6am so i think ill go maul him. im well and truly ready to have this baby. thank you soo mcuh for your help youve really made it alot clearer for me now i know what to do!

hey hun remember all the people viewing yr thread aren't necessarily members so they can read yr thread but not reply. you dont have to join the forum to read posts and use the advice x
anyway was going to say use yr birth ball lots and maybe go for a long walk was told after a sweep they help im overdue but not had a sweep yet x x good luck hun x x
