Hi Ladies

I need advice from all you poas addicts please.

During the 10 months we've been ttc ive only ever used a hpt 3/4 times so dont really know much about them.
I had some of those free Duo Fertility ones and today at 12 dpo curiosity got the better of me and I tested and it was a

For all you poas addicts out there this is gonna sound a little stupid and but I really couldnt remember what the instructions were and none came with it so i just did the obvious and peed in a container, stuck the strip in and left it for 5 mins and checked and then checked after a further 5 mins! Why the hell they didnt send instructions with them i'll never know!

So, my questions are this

Firstly - would it show up a positive at 12 dpo (said it was 25miu)I dont even know what the different sensitivities range from
Secondly - I didnt read till later on the net that you should always use midstream urine when doing a hpt and I didnt, would that make a difference?
And thirdly I've since read a few threads on here saying that these tests are really dodgy, did anyone else have any good/bad experiences with them

Hey Hun,at 12dpo I doubt those 25miu ones will pick up a bfp,especially those ones,I've got them aswell and they r just ics which are not the best in the first place.with midstream I'm never a good aim lol so I pee in a pot and dip for 10-15 seconds as recommended.they should not be read after 10 mins.hope this helps and u still get ur bfp this month xx

Firstly... you don't always have to use midstream urine at all... I always PIAC and did it's easier and I think you'll find the majority do the same.
25miu is supposed to be quite sensitive but if it was an IC test they aren't great and I was still getting very faint positives after I'd got a strong positive on a branded test.
Yes you could get a pos at 12dpo but it's not a given by any means.. it all depends on when you implanted so my advice would be to keep testing as you're not out until the witch shows. xx

Sorry for the late replies everyone but been away for a few days

Still no sign of (going into day cd29, usually between 26-28 days )so if shes not here by morning i will do the other test and take it from there. Not holding out much hope though as I feel like shes about to arrive at any second but we'll see.
