Old C-Section scar pain....

Hi Ladies

Just wondering for those of you who have had a previous section and are now pregnant again did you experience any pain or tenderness around the Scar site??? I'm only 5 weeks along and I can already feel some tenderness around the scar site. Just wondering if I can expect this to get worse as I get bigger or will the pain/tenderness subside over time??

I'm not really worried that anything will go wrong because of it but kinda freaking out that its gonna get alot worse since I'm so newly pregnant and can feel it already.

yep, mine is quite bad at times. i have two little beans pulling it apart. it always hurts on the left side and this is where i had most bother with it.

Congrats on twins!!! Hopefully the pain subsides for you. Like I said its not too bad now but I guess I should expect it to get worse.....

Mine was sensitive anyway, even before I was pregnant. Sometimes I would feel a stinging, burning sensation for no reason at all. If it worries you though, perhaps mention it to your MW at your next appt.

I have have had 2 sections. My scar hurt the most in the 1st trimester. So hopefully you will all be the same x

What i mean is that it wont hurt in the other trimesters lol. Not that i hope it hurts

ive had 2 previous sections, i find the tenderness comes and goes, when i get bigger it does play up alot and i also get the burning sensation but i mostly suffer with itching, it drives me up the wall, its like the itch is on the inside and its always worse when i have a wee growing spurt in my tummy. xx

yeh the itch you cant scratch!!! so annoying!! yip twins, my midwife sent me for early scan cos of the pains and thats when they found them, then went to a n e as i was in qiute abit pain with them, got another scan. still there, got 12 wk scan on 30th jan. hope they'll still be there then.

Yes! When I was pregnant with my second, I had the most pain from my scar area the first trimester. This pregnancy (I'm only 6 weeks), I felt the pain right away, even before I knew I was pregnant! I knew that something was getting really relaxed down there! My doc told me this pain is normal!

Thank you everyone. I was worried that the bigger I get the worse the pain will get but I guess that once my uterus grows over my pubic bone it should subside. I never even thought about the scar until I felt some tenderness It never crossed my mind that it might get sore.
