Old wives tales - gender predictions

OK, I keep hearing so many old wives tale type things about if you crave sweet things it's a girl, if you have an easy pregnancy it's a boy, if your bump glows radioactive green it's a mutant, but what are the ones you all know. Everyone is convinced I'm having a boy - just thought it would be good to compare ourselves with the myths (and also have any existing mums tells how it worked out for them).

i had a horrible pg with my son.... and easy with my girls. I was huge with the girls and small with my son. the old wives tale i get is Round and low with girls and tidy and high with a boy.... I even had my mum do the ring test on my belly....

We are team yellow so I love reading and hearing about the old wives tales. Unfortunately for me, my symptoms would suggest 50% girl and 50% boy, so not a great help really!

I craved savoury completely, loads of salt and hated sweet to start with so was suprised to hear we were having another girl!

well i think just about every wives tale worked for me with both of my pregnancies.
With my DD:
Morning sickness started a week before missed period and didnt stop til 15 weeks.
Gained alot of weight and carried her high and round. I gained weighted everywhere.
Her heartrate was always in the 170-180s.
Craved sweets and more sweets.
Had alot of acne
My nails broke and my hair was dry.
My boobs grew ALOT
Only had to shave once a week.
The ring test said girl, the baking soda test, and well thats about it with my DD
Started showing right away with her as well.

With baby now. (a boy) I had absolutly no morning sickness
No growth in boobs just maybe fuller.
I have only gained a few pounds so far.
My bump is low and only in front.
His heartrate as been 130-140s
I love salt. That is all i crave.
My hair nails and skin look great.
I have to shave everyday
The ring, and baking soda test were right.

With both i just had a feeling as well and they were correct. Oh but the chinese gender tests were wrong with both. lol

Well I would say, that since my Belly is glowing green, I'm having a mutant....But it could be a girll too.

I don't put much stock in them! I have every "symptom" for a girl as well as almost all the tests (babyman, Mayan, Chinese) come back as being girl, but nup, it's a boy in there according to my 12 week scan! I must admit as well this pregnancy is completely different to my first, and my first was a boy too (first one I craved salt foods, meat etc, this one I'm all about the sugar etc).

Ha I love these! Mine are below...

With my First SON
I had MS not really bad but quite yukky...
I craved milk and ice cream
Loved sweets like haribo,
Had a tiny bump and was just bump.
Couldn't tell I was pg from behind...

With my SECOND son (I was told that this baby was a girl at scan)
No MS
Very easy pg
Didn't crave anything just couldn't stop eating
Was big and fat all over, esp bum and hips....
Had a massive wide bump
Looked really pg from behind..

With this pg I know this baby is a girl.
Have had horrific MS the worst ever
Craved salty food
Craved alot of citrusy fruits
Have little bump out front..
You can't tell I am pg from behind

So for me a mixture... X

For the first two trimesters, I only craved salty/savory things and I am also carrying low. Those are boy indicators, but we're having a girl

None of the old wives tales were correct for me...everyone was sure I'd have a boy...ultrasound proved last week that I'm having a girl! The methods that were right for me were Chinese and Mayan gender chart and www.babyman.net
