Is anyone taking them? I have read alot that says it is good to take for 2nd half of the pregnancy, I also try to have fish once a week. I just picked up a supplement and think I am going to start taking a low dose (1 per day).

I'm gonna check dosage with MW on wed as I have bought some supplements too.

I do. I take Eskimo Brainsharp as it has a good ratio of the different types of Omega 3 fatty acids. They are vital for eye and brain development of the baby :) I'm a Nutritional Therapist though (who doesn't eat fish/oily fish) so I was taking them beforehand anyway x

I'll need to buy some and start taking it. I can't eat fish anymore since my stomach doesn't agree with it. Doctor told me it's perfectly safe, but when I went to the store, there's some many to choose from and I have no clue which one to buy.

I've been taking fish oil in liquid way before I conceived. So good for you and baby :) I get mine from Whole Foods and it's filtered so there's no harmful substances in it.

Make sure you get one specifically for pregnancy because some of the others have fish livers that can give you too much vitamin A and could harm the baby. I have a prenatal that contains DHA, so I know it's safe.

Thanks everyone. I spoke to the pharmacist and he helped me pick one, It does say fish oil but he assured me it is not liver oil, just the oil of the fish. It says to take 1-3 per day, I think I am only going to take 1 as I do have salmon at least once a week.

I've been taking mine since before conception and mw said it's fine-just make sure there is no mercury in them. They are also a natural blood thinner which is good for blood flow to baby :)

I've been taking them throughout my pregnancy, either Pregnacare or Seven Seas (whichever has been on offer at the time) as they are the better of the branded ones having looked meticulously through the contents of various brands.
