My son nursed twice out of the norm before we went to bed (twice from 10-11 and normally he's sleeping) so we came upstairs and went to sleep - he slept from 1130-5 and didn't wake up and I didn't either being so exhausted - I woke up and was like OMG and immediately woke him up to feed. He took both breasts.

I feel so horrible

I wouldnt worry to much :hugs:

As long as he's alert, having wet nappies and not lathargic

My LO has alway slept from 12ish to around 4! I did have to wake him when he was jaundice (he had it bad) but then he went back to sleeping. I asked the m/w and she said to leave him! He also feeds extra before hand and wakes up like he's starving.

I'm sure he's fine! :hugs:

Don't feel horrible? Try not to beat yourself up, you're doing the best for your baby, and it's hard with a newborn! I'd just try and appreciate the extra wee bit of sleep and let him catch up today. He'll eat what he needs :) as long as he's gaining weight your doing great! It's pretty normal for your breasts to feel very full in the morning. 6hrs between every feed would be an issue at this age, but I wouldn't worry to much if it's once in a while. x x x

id make the most of it, periodically most babies will have longer sleep periods and if your LO is doing that during the part of the night you want to sleep embrace it unless theres a medical reason why they need feeding more often let the baby sleep esp at night they will make up for it in the daytime

If he needed food he'd have let you know ! X

Ilana sept over 8 hours a night from 3 weeks to 4 months and often for over 6 hours from a week old. I never woke her!!!

Dont worry hun like everyone has said your LO will wake and tell you when he's hungry :hugs:

I'd see that as a good thing hun - be happy. You've obviously got a very contented baby. I've never woken my babies to feed, they let me know when they are hungry.

My Lo is 12 weeks now, and has been sttn since 8 weeks - she goes 12hrs with just a little dream feed at 11pm. When she wakes in the morning, she is quite happy to play with her brothers for a while before they go to school, then have a feed!

I think you're doing great.
