OMG! So scared! UPDATE!

I have 24 hours till my 12 week scan and I am terrified!

I have had a bad feeling for a week or so that something is wrong. But nothing to indicate that there is a problem (i.e. no bleeding or pains etc).

I don't know if my head is doing this as a protection measure, getting me ready for the worst, or if there really is a problem.

The last two pregnancies its the 12 week scan that i have found out that there were problems with the fetal development (completely separate problems that are apparently unlinked and just really bad luck!)

The consultant at the hospital is doing the scan himself so that any problems can be identified quite quickly... I am SO scared!

***** Just got back from my scan. At first the baby wasn't moving so i was panicking, so specialist put on speaker so i could hear the heartbeat. After a while of scanning it woke up and started wriggling, but was still long enough to get good measurements and such! All looks fine so far! Put me ahead of where i was on the last scan which is good! I am so pleased and relieved!

No wonder you're worried. There is nothing anyone can say that will ease your anxiety but it seems that they are keeping a very close eye on you and they can act quickly if anything was not right.

Is there something you could do or go today that would keep your mind off it for a while. Maybe meet up with friends for a chat and maybe a bit of retial therapy?

Hubby is home, so he is trying to distract me... i've done all the housework... think i might see if he'll take me for lunch or dinner!

Oh hun I dont think anyone in your shoes would not be worried- but remember this is a new pregnancy and has every chance of everything being ok. I am sending you lots of love and luck. Hope DH takes you out for lunch or dinner or better still- some shopping and both

Just got back from shopping and lunch. He's taking me out for dinner tonight, then we are meeting up with some friends... Fingers crossed i can relax enough to enjoy!
