One negative test and one positive?

Last month my period wasn't exactly regular, I had two in one month. This month, during my expectant period I had very very light spotting only occurring one time a day for a few days. I was having uncharacteristic back pains and abdominal pains. I waited for about 4 days and then took a test. After a little while it was positive. The very next morning I took another test and it was negative. Also after I took that test I spotted a little more brown blood then it stopped again? Could I have bled two times in a row with a negative result, or could this be pre menstrual?

How long did it take for it to be positive? It could be an evap line if it showed up after the recommended waiting time frame. Maybe wait a few more days and take another test to be sure.
