Today at my first prenatal appt, my doctor asked me about cramps. I do get cramps, frequently, and they range from mild to moderate.
She then asked if they're one sided. And come to think of it, they are always, ALWAYS on my right side....
Whether they're around my pelvic bone/ AF like cramps, or around my belly button or kidney area/ gas like cramps, they're always on the right side of my body.
I wonder if this means anything...? My ultrasound last week confirmed the pregnancy is in fact in my uterus so I know it's not ectopic.

Whenever I get one sided cramps they are always on my right side too :)

often times its from the side you ovulated on:)

The first thing that came into my head was that maybe that is the side that baby is sitting.. I've read on here some woman having cramps mainly on their left side so could be the same thing maybe?

I thought mine was gas pains, but I'm not so sure now. The pain is a dull ache that seems like it would feel better if it were massaged. It's very much like the kind of cramp you get when you've been running too long. It's in my back under my ribcage and wraps around to my side. I consulted Dr Google and I can't really find anything on this.

I was soooo convinced that the baby must be on the right side because I had one sided cramps on the right for weeks! At my u/s, my entire uterus was way on the left... Who knows??? I thought maybe the uterus was pulling on my right ligaments more???

do you suffer from pcos? i do, and this is how it felt when a cyst burst. its not dangerous or anything and theyre pretty small, but your side can be tender for awhile.

I've never heard of pcos, I'll look it up. :) I thought it was just kidney pain from my uti but my uti is cleared and it's still there.

I looked it up. I don't think I really have any of the symptoms.

I had the same thing and my obstrician said they were due to it being the right ovary that I ovulated from and the cyst which produces all the progesterone and estrogen for pregnancy. Xx

I went for scan at 9+4 yesterday and the doc said I have a small cyst on my right ovary - nothing to worry about but explains the right sided pain - good luck x

It's moved from my side to my back/ flank area. Pains getting worse. :( Hope it's not kidney stones

I usually have weird pains, cramps, whatver you want to call them on my left side. Not really sure why just on one side. It is kind of annoying and makes me WORRIED. Yesterday I had some spotting then later in the day had those funky cramps again. Could you say. WORRIED?! This is my first pregnancy, and I have never MC'd or anything like that so I am worrying about everything. Is spotting normal? Sorry to bomb your topic with MY question but it was somewhat related =P sowwie

Water with a fresh lemon squeezed can help disintegrate kidney stones. Start drinking about 4 cups of lemon water a day. Alongside your other 4-6 regular cups of water

Maybe some cranberry tablets as well. My family has a history of them and when my mom feels the "warning pain" she takes cranberry tablets and drinks only water for a week or so. She swears by those tablets!

I'm glad I read this post as I've awful stabbing pains on my left side sometimes leaving me bent double. I on,y got my bfp yesterday
