Who on here met their OH online? I signed up to a dating site over a year ago but then my ex came along and I didn't use it. But after over a month of singledom I realise it's time to start trying to get back in the game so I've started to go back on it. Already spoken to some nice guys from round my area. But I was just curious as to how the whole online dating things work? I won't be physically dating for a while but maybe I could do with some advice on to what to expect if and when I do

I did! I lucked out - he was my first date from online (I canceled others after meeting him!) and many years later, here we are

I would suggest only using it as a tool to meet them in person ASAP - I only talked to OH for a couple of emails before meeting. Too many people get wrapped up in the online persona (some even create fantasy) before realizing what the guy is like in person.

well i met hubby online. but it wasnt on a dating agency, we have been together 8 years now, he really is my soul mate

just make sure you always let someone know when and where your meeting new people

I met my OH on Plentyoffish dating site..i agree with the meet them quickly comment..i spoke to someone for months and thought he was lovely, met him and 5mins later i hated him and ran away (ha!)..with OH we spoke for a week or 2 then met up..that was it then we have spent 2 nights apart since then in 3 years..good luck and have fun! x

Omg I have just been talking to some guy on there and I added him to FB and started nosing through his pictures. To see him tagged in a few with none other than the silly bitch that was posting crap all over my exes wall which caused us to split up! What a small world!

I met my OH on Lavalife Just meet at a crowded restaurant/coffee shop and go home alone, you'll do fine

I think I'll try eHarmony if OH & I break up someday, lol. I don't think we are going to lol but that's what I would do rather than try to meet people through friends etc.
