Opk and ovulation q!

So we know that if you get a +opk your hopefully going to ovulate in the next 12-36 window.. so just before you release the egg you get a +opk.. say the egg doesn’t release until closer to the 36 hour mark.. would the opk the next morning ( if it were + the night before) be negative or would it still have the hormone as the egg hadn’t released yet?

Does that make sense? Lol. I had a +opk at 9pm and by 9am and 2pm and 6pm they were all negative again? Does that mean my egg was released soonish after the +opk? Gah!!
