OPK Confusion!!

Hi ladies

I hope you're all well!

I'm a little confused... I'm currently on CD16 and started testing for ovulation a few days ago.

Yesterday morning it was borderline - both lines were pretty much the same colour. By mid afternoon the test line was definitely as dark if not a little darker - I went into mad panic because OH is away and not back until this evening!

I've just tested again and the test line is definitely darker this time. Does this mean I'm still surging and haven't ovulated yet? Can you still get a positive OPK even after ovulation?

I hope I haven't missed it!!

Sorry me again.... Just tested again and still getting a very dark positive line but I had what i'm pretty sure was ovulation pain for most of yesterday.

Still got clear ewcm aswell... Do you think I have ovulated yet??

Any help/opinions would be very much appreciated

The CM happens when you ovulate. And when you get that first positive opk it means you will ovulate in 24-48 hours. Kinda like giving you a heads up.

I got a positive yesterday and today and still not seen EWCM (had it beginning of the week though) but my CM is currently very watery. You should Ov within 36 hours of getting a positive, but it may be your positive is today rather than yesterday so count 36 hours from today instead (mine is still darker today than yesterdays).

FF has me BDing 'til CD18 at the moment.

Thanks ladies, the main issue is that oh was supposed to be back last night from his business trip but didn't get back til late tonight and said he wasn't feeling well. Therefore no BD so I am feeling very down right now. Looks like I'm out again this month

If you still have EWCM, then you probably haven't ovulated yet. I got positives as early as 2 full days before I ovulated.
Maybe give him a nice morning wake-up call? And even if you've ovulated, the egg is viable for 12-24 hours (though 12 is a safe bet, going all the way to 24 hours is rarer).
