For those of you who have used opks to ease your POAS addiction or used as an HPT what does your lines look like? Does the test line disappear at a certain point?
I am about 2-3dpo and I am using my opks and they are negative but are still very visible and last cycle I remember the line dissappeared it just got me thinking

First of all youd be way too early to get a positive on any kind of test right now. Second its disappearing cause you dont have lots of lh in ur system so it disappears

and if it stays that dont mean anything either. you naturally have lh in ur system so you can always have some sort of line

Good luck I was reading opk can be used as hpt but hpt would more than likely pick up hcg before the opk.. And I've also read that only some brands of opk pick up both LH and hcg .. Goodluck

I think on 8dpo I used the clearblue opk and I got what looked very close to a positive.I have not taken hpt yet.I'm only 11dpo now.I have heard sometimes they work as a hpt but its rare.its still fun though :) I might do one tonight just to see what comes up

Lol of course I already knew this I was just wondering with women who have got a BFP and used opks what did theirs look like

That didnt sound like what u were asking. You stated your line was visible and it didnt disappear like last time. Then u asked what it meant. You never mentioned anything about other womens tests.

I'm pretty sure I did "For those of you who have used opks to ease your POAS addiction or used as an HPT what does your lines look like?"

But that is besides the point I will word it a little different so that it is more clear because I can see how it can be a little unclear

I am about 2-3dpo(I know it is way too early to tell anything) I am using my opks and they are negative but are still very visible and last cycle I remember the line dissappeared and it just got me thinking about women who hve used them after ovulation and before a BFP

Im sorry Im extremely irritated. I dont know why but I seem to be getting irritated with peoples questions. So I logged myself off cause I started realizing that Im sounding like a bitch. I am so sorry for being rude with you. I hope you can accept my apology

Awww no problem no hard feelings hun I didn't take it like that I understand what you mean though

iv herd that opks can pick up hcg iv brought aload of asda opks for tryn around my ovulation time which was more expensive than just cheapies i never got one single opk positive i thought waty a waste of money and brought sum cheapy opks again im surpose to be due in 2days time and im 8DPO yes i know had all symptoms looking good and next to nothing gone disappeared im so disapointed but who knows i cud be getting a long LP this time instead so i think 8DPO is way to early for me to test yet keep on trying hun never give up hope i will keep my fingers crossed for you xx dont give up lots of :dust:

I have yet to get a bfp BUT last cycle around 11dpo I got a smiley opk...long story short, I'm not pregnant.
I have also heard that it does work as hpt but an hpt will detect it before an opk will. I'm pretty sure someone on the forum has used it and it has worked.
Good luck!!!

i got all my confusions cleared here. u can try this.

I got my BFP today on 14dpo and I took an OPK .IT WAS SUPER DARK! I've never had my line come out that dark

I was looking up on this recently and found a funny site that explained it really well..

Check out the link, it explains it so simply and it's kinda funny... Let me know what you think! :)

Hi

I'm 5dpo and tested using opk today (pure boredom!) and have a positive... I just done another and it's darker than the control line... not sure what to think!

I used an OPK today as I had some EWCM even though I am only 6DPO and it had a faint line as expected..I wasnt using it as a HPT though, I just wanted to make sure I wasnt OV again!

You might want to have sex just in case you have ovulated later than you originally thought. Sometimes woman's bodies gear up to ovulated, hold off, then actually ovulate later. (Aren't our bodies so bizarre?!)

Personally, I took a OPK at 9dpo and it was STARK WHITE. I thought for sure I was out since I expected at least a faint pink line...but seriously, there was nothing. I couldn't even convince myself I saw anything.

The next day, i got my first faint positive on a FRER HPT :happydance:
