This is my first month using OPKs (we've upped the ante and pulled out all the stops to try and get things going at last).
I know that most women always have some LH picked up by their OPK and so the test isn't classed as a positive until the test line is as dark or darker than the control line.

I'm now confused with my own tests.
CD3 (light flow) I had a faint but visible line on an OPK
CD5 (spotting) very faint but still visible line on OPK
DC6-CD9 even fainter line on OPK - it's sort of visible if you're in the right light at the the right angle...

Surely they should be getting darker (even a teensy weensy bit) instead of lighter? Predicted O dates in siggie.

are you testing at the same time of day? how long are your cycles?
also they dont nesciserily get darker sometimes mine only get a visable line the day before my surge one thing i would say is if you are using ic's i would test twice a day one arround 10-11 am and again at around 4-6 pm only because i personally have a VERY short surge only lasting a few hours so if i test once i will miss it as i did this month luckily i always o on the same cd.

Because it's my first month using OPKs I've been testing twice a day just in case.
I've been doing one around noon and one around 6pm - exactly the same results at either time.
This year my cycles are averaging 32-34 days. I'm not expecting to see a pos result yet, just wondering about the result being darker during :af: and now all but disappearing.

Just gonna keep peeing and hoping to see a surge eventually =)

My cycles were 30-32 days, ( now 29 due to metformin.) But When I did the OPKs on my 32 day cycle I didnt surge until day 18. This month I had NO 2nd line until today, which was the positive.

Hope that helps
:dust:

From what I gather during af oestrogen levels are higher like just before your surge so it may give a little bit of a line but it is normal to get some sort of a line through out your cycle.

I have a 26-33 day cycle length.

I wouldnt start testing til around 9 dpo so dont know what test lines should look like at all.

From around 9 dpo it is likely I wouldnt even have a 2nd line or sometimes a very faint line, only a couple days before ovulation it would get a bit darker. I never ever got true positive lines (test line darker than control) but if the line was clear enough to see and not what you would call faint then I would take that as a positive opk. I would actually ovulate 2 days after the first 'positive' opk (as confirmed by temps)

With a 32 day cycle, you will probably get your line going darker around day 16 or so.

Good luck!:flower:
