After some helpful advice from my sister, I'm springing for my own hospital gown. They have so many cute ones online!:) Pointless thread, just excited as it's one step closer to meeting our little man!

Cute! I'd heard of this but hadn't seen any. Why not treat yourself to something fun!

Yeah I would love to know where to get some from!! Photos and links would be great!!

O this sounds fun, do the hospitals in england allow you to have them???

That's one website I found that sells them, although there are many more if you google hospital delivery gown:) I figure the hospital gowns will be so itchy and crummy, a little comfort will go a long way when the time comes!:)

Haha way to toot your own horn, sis:)

I plan on sewing my own (I should really get on it!) There is a free pattern here if any of you other ladies are able to sew and want to make one!

I got a couple of gownies from baby be mine. The molly one is softer than the other one I bought!

Are they designed to be able nurse easily as well? I've looked at several online and it's hard to tell from the pics if they are designed to expose enough breast to comfortably feed..

I got one from here: https://www.laborlooks.com/index.php/gowns.html (though I got it through one of the "deal of the day" type sites, so it was about 1/2 the cost). I don't know if it'll be significantly more comfortable than a hospital gown (they are designed after them, after all) but at least it's never been used before, is way cuter than a hospital gown, and has snaps on both sleeves for BFing or IV access. I've been in the hospital for surgery before, and been put in gowns that didn't have IV access even though I was having general anesthetic so would obviously have an IV - ends up being a huge hassle later with them having to disconnect the IV when they want you to change!
