I am still mad about what happened last night and am looking to see if it is just pregnancy hormones or what...
So last night I was invited to go play games at a friends house. I arrived and they had invited me, 2 other ladies. We sit down to play and the host announces that she hasnt eaten dinner yet and she is going to cook a pot pie and eat it with her husband.
I jokingly say, sweet we love pot pies. and they say oh we are just going to make the one for her and her husband.
it is 6 pm mind you. so she proceeds to get a pot pie while we are playing the game cook it, when it is done, she and her husband sit at the table we are playing at and eat it in front of me and the 2 other ladies who they invited.
while i am trying to ignore that people are eating in front of us they start playfully fighting over the ingredients ( "you took the chicken piece... you took the carrot") ect..
I was just floored.
I have NEVER been invited to a persons house where the hosts cook for them selves and then eat in front of guests without offering anything!
I left at 8 pm after the first game had ended.
Maybe this is just pregnancy making me annoyed but I just was STUNNED!
I guess it is just not something I would do. If I had invited people over and needed to eat I would offer something!
Oh and in case you are wondering they are NOT in any way shape or form poor, they had more than enough food to offer chips or something while we sat there watching them eat. They just saw nothing wrong in doing what they did.
