OT sausage question ...

OH brought two packs of sausages Monday night, just looked in the fridge and said "These ones were meant to be eaten yesterday and these ones need to be eaten by the fourth" Honestly ...

Anyway ... can we freeze them and cook later or is it best to just throw them out?

I'd throw the "yesterday" ones away and use the others tomorrow.

Is the date say use by or sell by? If sell by then they are still fine, if use by then no.

It says display until/use by 2.6.11
OH is cooking some now so if he's up all night we know which one it really meant

display until is a sell by so you should be fine. Usually you can go up to 2-3 days after the sell by date.
