ouch!!!!!!! TMI

me and OH tried to dtd earlier on and it was soooooooo painful, like worse than my first time kind of painful, it honestly felt like he was ripping me in two when he tried to ... well you know https://s2.bbstatic.com/images/smilies/bigwink.gif ... we stopped and carried on kissing etc and tried again to see if that made any difference but nope, no difference.

we even tried using some lube that we had to see if that helped but it was still just as painful

havent tried to dtd since about a week after i found out i was pregnant as i really wasn't in the mood and me and FOB split up shortly after finding out, but now have an amazing OH and well yeah ...

is this normal during pregnancy?

any suggestions?

My OH and I were able to have really good sex until I was about 28 weeks, then it started hurting really bad. We've had good sex ONCE since then and that was the only time it seemed to work. We've tried everything and it doesn't get better, so we've stuck to just foreplay and what not.

yeah its not really worked too well for me and my oh, it gets too uncomfortable as she keeps moving about all the time. so we stick to other stuff

I know that when me and my OH did it, it hurt a little bit but afterwards hurt a lot. I think it's because it irritates the cervix a little and that causes the pain. But be careful because if it hurts you might have or be getting a UTI and that can cause a pre-term labor. When I was around 26 weeks pregnant me and my OH did it and a few hours later I started getting contractions and I had to be rushed to the hospital. But I was also dehydrated and was getting a UTI and that just ended up triggering it and the nurse said and I quote, "Intercourse can cause you to go into preterm labor."

So just be careful and drink lots of fluids so that you don't get a UTI and make sure you talk to your midwife about it where as she can give you a better answer and maybe you can get checked.

i normally ask my mum questions related to pregnancy, but seeing as we aren't that close i figured this wasn't one of the things i could ask her about (she's pretty uptight about sex anyways)

It has been uncomfortable for me for a long time, its just so swollen down there that it feels ick, lol. Tho last night we tried w/ me on top and it felt much better than usual, might just have to try different positions.

ahh it starts to hurt once bubs starts to engage and you start to dilate and your body prepares you down there for giving birth..
