First the lockdown at my kids school yesterday and then we woke up this morning with our vehicle stolen!
My husband woke up early like usual to go into work...I was planning on sleeping in so I was all cozy in bed when my husband comes running back into the house..ran up the stairs to me and says "Baby...our truck is gone!!"
My heart sunk! You just never know how to feel or react in that moment.
We of course always have it locked and it has an alarm on it. Who ever took it were professionals.
here's even more of a kicker too...my husband NEVER leaves any valuables in the SUV..EVER!
Yet yesterday he accidentally left his wallet in the there!
But wait...there's more...
I took out $600 to give him from my bank account to pay for bills. We NEVER carry cash on us! He wasn't able to deposit the money into his other account yesterday like he planned..So all together there was $660 in cash in the wallet that was stolen with the vehicle.
But I'm still not done...
Two days ago, we caught my 6 year old stealing candy bars from my sons chocolate bar fundraiser he's doing for the school. We do not take stealing lightly in our home. We are very big on honesty, trust and respect. As one of her hard lessons, we gathered every last one of her toys up and put them in our vehicle to take out to my husbands work. She was to get them back when she earned them back. We did allow her to keep one thing tho and that was her "Teddy" which is her security bear. Well..I guess you know where I am going with this. It was raining yesterday and my husband didn't have time to unload them so...yup. Every last one of her toys are gone too. I'm so glad she still has her "Teddy" tho!!
We don't live in a slummy area so I just don't get why these things have been happening. Not long after we bought this house last year...someone came in our back yard and stole my sons bike too...now this.
The cop that showed up this morning was so kind tho...he brought a cute teddy bear to give to my daughter to say sorry for her toys being stolen. He felt so bad.that was just so nice of him!
Ha..and that reminds me...we live just a stones throw away from the police station too. Go figure.
