How do you all make up your feeds when out?

Do you make them up prior to going out? If so, how do you store them and how long do they last?

Where do you make them up when you're out?

Please help!

Thanks :)

i make all the bottles with just water and keep them on the side, when we go out i put the powder in a dispenser and just make them up when we need them.. :flower:

Thanks Migetgem, but doesn't the water get cold?

its summer here so its not too bad, luckily Ella takes them like that but in winter ill prob warm them a bit. x

I do the same as Midgetgem. Holly will take them at room temp, but if it got particularly cold then I would warm them a bit x

I bring a flask of boiling water and the powder in a dispenser. I usually stop in a cafe or a restaurant to make them up, and ask for a teapot or jug of iced water to cool the bottle in.

I use the ready made cartons  xxx

Hayley, what do you do if the baby doesn't drink it all - how do you store it?

I use the ready made cartons  xxx

I do the same, I then transfer the rest of the milk to another bottle and put that into a cool bag so I can use it when we get home xx

I take the powder in a dispenser and add it to his bottle when I need it x

if we know where going to be less than the 2 hours before the bottle needs to be thrown away we'll just make one up and put it in our thermal bag, its fab. if were going to be longer we'll put the powder in the bottles and either get some boiled water from somewhere or take a small flask of hot water with us

We make up the bottles with just water then add then formula as and when we need to...Ilsa will take the bottle at room temp but do still keep in a thermal container...She normally takes a whole feed in one go so no need to store it once made up as she guzzles the lot :)

If its a short trip out i'll take one of the bottles I prepared earlier in my coolbag with ice packs and heat it up whilst out. If i'm out for the day then i'll take sterilised bottles and ready made cartons. I'll also take an extra sterilised bottle to pour the excess milk into to bring home for later.
