Hi all!! Just wondering if those cold packaged salmon steaks you can get from Coles are safe to eat in first trimester? I'm craving salmon and I've heard it's good for bump but I want to take it to work every day so won't be able to cook it. Any suggestions?

I'm not sure about the type of salmon that you're on about but I think women are only meant to have two salmon fillets a week? So you couldn't have it everyday! But if the salmon is pre cooked I don't see and problem with eating it cold:flower:

I'm not sure what store that is, but since salmon is a fish low in mercury, it is safe for pregnant women to eat. I don't think there's really a restriction on how often you can have salmon either. And as long as it's fully cooked, I don't see a problem with you eating it. Sometimes, I'll have leftovers to bring to work and I'll microwave it.
