Pain after Egg Collection

I had my eggs collected on Monday and was in pain afterwards been taking codiene. I wasn't so bad yesterday so eased off it then last night I woke up needed a wee and afterwards was in the most excruciating pain really throbing right accross my bikini line then it moved down. I took a painkiller and put heat on it then it was like a wave of pain that went away. It really scared me as it reminded me of when my ectopic ruptured. My embryos replacement is tomorrow and now I'm worried about it I'll ringvthe nurses but I don't want to cancel but I don't want to jepodise my embryos if things are not right for it and I don't want to keep taking painkillers either. Hi there, I had my EC on Sunday and wasn't in much pain afterwards but yesterday felt like I had a really bad AF pains. I also felt hot and sick and wondered if it could be OHSS or an infection. Ayway, I feel a lot better now. I suppose there will be pain because we have had lots of interference with both hormones and body. I would definitely call the nurses and tell them just in case it is something serious but hopefully they will scan you tomorrow before ET and all will be fine. Good luck. x

Hi oneday, I can't really offer any advice but just wanted you to know I am going through the same sort of thing. I was fine yesterday but last night started getting pain. Now I feel like I have bad period pain. I also feel a bit sick but that could be the antibiotics as I usually get sick when I take them.

I think I am going to call clinic today - I don't want them to cancel transfer but I want what's best for me and for my embies xxx

Hayz - Sorry you are in pain too but it's reassuring hopefully its normal. Let me know what your clinic say, hopefully by Saturday you will be fine. Do we get anymore reports on how our embryos are doing ?

I'm getting a report tomorrow, just to make sure my embies are still going strong and can wait until saturday for transfer. If you are having your transfer tomorrow, I guess they will tell you then how they are doing and which ones you should have put back?

I had this same pain when I overresponded during stimms which is what worries me, but my scans were fine at the time so I'm hoping the same applies now.

Just done the pessary so i am lying down with the laptop on my knee lol. Just feel bruised and have indigestion. I did take another co-codamol this morning though. Hope your embies are making good progress x

Bit late, but just to say that I had pain too. Was worried too that it might be infection one night when it was particularly bad, but it disappeared after 2 days.

Thanks Peartree it seems to be normal but its still very scary. I don't think i will be doing this again in a hurry x

That pain after weeing sounds the same as what I had. Maybe coz your bladder is right near your bruised and enlarged ovaries. So when it changed as it empties it upsets your ovaries. I had it badly for about a week, but had OHSS too.

Hope it settles down soon.

Let's hope so!! I feel a bit better than I did first thing this morning. I'm just debating whether to call the clinic.

Clinic said this pain is quite normal and to carry on with the co codamol x
