For the past few weeks I've been getting pain in my lower right back that's getting increasingly worse. It's hurting me to walk, sit and get up from laying down. It started when I was around 20 weeks pregnant and now I'm 25 weeks. I'm pretty small, only 5'2, and I've been told my bump is big for me only being 25 weeks. I don't know if that has anything to do with it but does anyone have any idea what could be causing this pain??

Hi, sorry to hear about your pain. I've have some lower back pain the past couple of weeks. Went to midwife today and she tested my urine and found its a uti. No other symptoms and I've had lots pre-pregnancy so I know what they normally feel like! Just had the back pain. Wasn't expecting uti diagnosis at all. So might be worth getting tested?

Possibly sciatica nerve pain. I get it a lot when pregnant. For me it usually starts with a 'pop' and I'm down for a couple days then it goes away until it 'pops' again. Normally by moving a certain way or even just getting up from sitting down or vice versa!

My friend was about 21 weeks when she started having pains like that. Went in and found out she had kidney stones. Don't mean to worry you, just thought I'd share what I know. May be worth getting it checked out just in case. Best wishes!

I have suffered with this throughout my last preg and again with #2. It's so much worse after hoovering or walking for long periods.
My midwife has said it's the muscles in lower back relaxing for childbirth - whatever it is...it's a nightmare.

Only thing I can recommend is a bath and taking it easy when it starts ☺️
