Since giving birth i've been plagued with pain in and around my pubic bone. Sometimes it's fine and then it flares up and i'm in agony. It gets worse around period time and after sex:blush: .

I had SPD during pregnancy and was wondering if it could still be affecting me? I'm not sure if i could have done any damage during labour either? I spent 32 hours pushing against a brick wall as i refused to dilate past 4 cm and the LO's head wouldn't engage for some reason. Has anyone else expeienced anything similar? Is there anything that can help? Thanks, Ladies:flower:

Hi there. I had SPD in my first pregnancy and gave birth to a 9Ib baby. It took several weeks for my pelvis to settle after the birth, but I have to say my nether regions have never gone completely back to normal since then (8yrs ago).

When I have a period I cannot walk around for very long due to a dull aching in my undercarriage  I firmly believe that after a protracted vaginal delivery your bits and pieces are never quite the same again. For you it is still relatively early days, it does take up to 2yrs for a woman's body to recover after birth. You could try some physio to help speed things along a little?

I'm now pregnant with twins, and it has been tough because everything is generally weaker in subsequent pregnancies. You are young, and it is still early days hun - tho things don't generally return completely to how they were, you have every chance things will improve given time and TLC x

I had SPD with both my pregnancies. After my first it was about a year until I felt perfectly ok, but it got better over time. This time I have the same pubic bone pain you describe. it comes and goes but seems to be worse after too much exercise like walking or lying in certain positions. I tried to do a few sit-ups the other night and it made it hurt all the next day! I had a really quick labour though, so I'm not sure if it is related.

Hope it improves soon.x

Yup itll be your SPD, I was bed ridden after birth and couldnt actually walk due to my bloody SPD, my pelvis was clicky and I was in agony :|
I havent had my period yet but my pelvis still throbs every so often and gets sore, so i'm dreading coming on :p

Thanks for the advice, ladies. I have a dr appt on Thurs to get it seen to as i sneezed the other day and my pelvis actually crunched:wacko: Hopefully i'll get some relief shortly :) xx
