Just wondering if many of you use the pampers simply dry nappies at all? they're the slightly cheaper value version of the other pampers ones and i'm wondering if there's much of a difference in terms of absorbency and how well they work?

I've been meaning to, we currrently are in size 2 pampers swaddlers... I'm partial to them, sort of scared to switch, even in the same brand!

I use cloth diapers but I use Pampers Swaddlers during the night and when we are out. They are incredibly absorbant and they last my LO all night, her skin never gets wet at all. I tried huggies and they were not very good at all.....for me, there is no reason to switch!

Are they the ones in the orange pack? If so, we've found they don't fit Joe as well as the huggies one's we're using at the moment.

My MIL got us a pack of Simply Dry the other week. They were ok but I didnt use them overnight, I prefer to use Baby Dry as I've never had leaks with them. That said tho, the Simply Dry were pretty good, they coped ok with Evie's chicken korma poos and were absorbant enough for day time use :)

ETA The Simply Dry were a little smaller than the regular Pampers in that they didnt do up as tightly around Evie's buddha belly  But they did the job!

I use simply dry all day - and yes, they contain explosions, and pampers yellow bag size at nighttime.

Have used simply dry ones at night too, but she only ever wees at night.

Both are size 3's.

I've actually been rather impressed by them. Bought a little pack to try, and have since bought two lage packs. That's how happy I am with them.

Plus they have a different animal on each, so we show it to her, then do the 'what noise does a cat/monkey/dog etc etc make'!! Probably more for our own amusement at this stage!!!

Bear in mind that I was totally against disposable nappies, but these are just so cheap and so good I've been finding it increasingly hard to justify the time effort needed for reusable ones.

we bought the bum genius starter bundle which cost quite a bit and have used one nappy once :( pampers are so convienient that we just havn't seen the need to use the reusable ones, we also don't have to do a wash every day whereas we would have to do several with reusable nappies - so the saving made on reusables wouold probabaly go on washing costs anyway. we may try the reusables again when my lo is older (bigger)

If those in the orange pack, they didnt work for us, always leaking at night. we tried almost all pampers range, the best ones I found r the active fit (dark blue pack). I also use the premium (white pack) for day use as they r made of cotton only without the blue stripes inside

we have been using simply dry since day one and love them! we did get a pack of huggies before lo was born cuz they were on offer, used 2 of them and threw the rest out as they were a horrible horrible fit on poppy and leaked!!!

I used to use disposables and used these ones during the day with no problems but I wouldn't risk them at night.

Slightly OT but we only wash every other day for our reusables so definitely a saving!

thanks ladies! wierdly MIL turned up today with a packet so saved me buying some! We use the yellow newborn size 3 ones atm and use the night ones which are fab - think it's contributing to 9/10 hours sleep per night!

Will give them a go - exploders happen whatever you use I think as this morning's eruption proved!

Can't say I like Huggies though - got given a few packs and hated them so have passed them onto others with new babies to try

we use the simply dry, only because my mum bought them, didnt realise they were cheaper than the others, in fact ive never even seen the simply dry in the shops, i thought they'd discontinued them and thats why my mum got them cheap lol...

weve never had a leak in them and he can go 14 hours in a night with them on - huggies however are crap for us! loadsa leaks!

i've not actually had to buy a pack of nappies yet, so have no clue whats even out there, lol

Really? I might have to give these another go and use them at night.
Btw, OT but I love your LO's hair in your avatar, too cute!!

heheh thanks!!

Yeah - like i said tho, i dont know where sells them, it seems my mum got the end of the line in our local wilkinsons cos they're definitely not there anymore! and the labels on them say £3.63 for 60! so a bargain if you can find them and they work for you!

they have them in Sainsburys and asda - they're £3.99 for 31 compared to £5.98 for the pampers yellow carry packs hth

ah okay thanks! looks like we got the last bit of stock then for that price!
I will inform grandma as she insists its her responsibility to buy nappies and formula, lol

Not used pampers yet got them for size 2 when we get to them. Used huggies size 1 and found baby has just about out grown them she loves the asda £1 nappies the fit well and only 1 leak so far but the Hoover dam could not have stopped what they were trying to hold back ;)

Never seen/heard of the simply dry. I use Swaddlers as of now and I've used Baby Dry in the past. To me the Baby Dry were crap but the Swaddlers are amazing. Not one leak from them and their extremely soft and stretchy. The cruisers which I have in size 3 seem to be good but I've only used a few because Ava still fits in Pamper Swaddlers size 2 cus they go up to 18 lbs.

IMO some Pamper styles are amazing and others are crap. Be sure to get tons of reviews before buying.

dacosta - i use reuseables and only do 1 wash every 4 days :)

I used disposables for the first few weeks, I personally thought pampers stunk the worst and if i had bought the nappies i would of switched to huggies, but i was given a million nappies in newborn!
