Hi ladies, it's in the title really, I'm 5 weeks in Saturday and been getting terrible back pain and headaches, iv been doing my best not to take anything but sometimes the pain is just so had iv had too. Do you think little one will be ok? X

paracetamol is usually safe during preganncy, I'd check with a GP first though x

Paracetamol is ok as long as you are being conservative with how often you take it, I had an awful cold/flu/sore throat thing at 5 weeks and I just had to take paracetamol but I left as long as I could bare in between doses and only took 1 tablet.

Iv been taking as little as possible. Iv got a bad cold, throat and head and then all the aches and cramps on top :-( just glad sickness hasn't started yet as I had hg with both previous pregnancies x

perfectly fine i had take it every morning for 10 days after my bfp to help ease my headaches/pains

I suffer from terrible migranes so I need to take them. Think its ibuprofen u can't take xx

I've been having calpol! It's just paracetamol suspension for kids but you can have as much or as little as you need! It's soooo soothing on a bad throat too.

Paracetamol is safe. I have taken Codeine (which is much, much stronger) throughout 3 of my pregnancies, which have obviously been prescribed to me.

I took paracetamol when pregnant with DS and ir didn't effect him at all. I had to - i had a terrible flu and shocking body aches.

I suffer migraines and I've been told paracetamol only. I was told co-codamol as a last resort as it crosses the placenta and can affect baby. They only recommend using ibuprofen in the second trimester, not in the first or third trimesters.
