Paracetemol

Hiya,

I had a temp of 39.9 last night so had some paracetemol as I assumed that having a lower temperature would be better!

How long should I take it for? I know it should be as little time as poss, but I'm feeling rough still and have a sore throat too.

Hiya, i have been taking paracetemol throughout my preg due to back pain and my doc told me its safe to take 2X500mg tablets every 6 hours, as long as its plain paracetemol and not with anything else added .... x

That's exactly what I've been doing. A collegue offered me some extra pain reliever with aspirin and caffeine in, I just took it from her but didn't actually take it! I've been taking at longer periods than I would normally too, have done every 6 hours as well. Good to know it's ok!!

It's definitely ok as long as you only take the recommended dose. It's better that you get over the symptoms as quickly as possible. Just be careful with things like lemsips etc as they contain other things you can't have. Make sure you drink plenty of fluids and take vit c too
