Parentcraft Class

Hiya

We went to a class this eve and it was quite interesting. Got chance to ask questions about anything we were worried about or wanted to know and she went over first few days at home etc.

I am having a c section but something I found interesting was she said that all the things about having sex, eating curry or pineapple etc to start labour wont work. She said baby will come when they want. She was also saying about if you arent breastfeeding the milk will go as it wants she said put on a tight bra but not worth trying epsom salts as it will just give you diarrhoea. I found this quite funny as my nan told my sister about epsom salts 6 years ago when she had my nephew and she swore by them! Lol.

I was v.happy we went the class as even though I am confident in looking after baby it was nice to hear others concerns and learn things I may not of thought about asking!

I also attended parentcraft classes a few week ago. Got every question answered but couldn't help wonder if there should have been more to them? Plus she did an hour and half of breast feeding in a two hour class and even though breast feeding is important, didn't seem really fair on those who were bottle feeding!

Really enjoyed the classes, but expected more I think :/

Aww see someone asked a question about feeding which she answered (about making up feeds in advance or not) but wouldnt talk anymore about feeding as she said its unfair if say only one person wants to breastfeed and she is banging on about formula feeding and vice versa. She said every mum has her reasons for the way she feeds and its totally up to the individual. they hold seperate breastfeeding classes at the hospital. Xx
