Passport Applications - UK

Has anyone had a passport renewed or applied for a child's first passport recently? Any idea how long they are taking?

My son took about 3 weeks in 2011 and my daughter 2 weeks in 2012 oh is not British citizen but right to abode and I'm polish so they send application back to us to supply some necessary papers like our births certificates ect.

That's good! We travel in about five weeks, the woman in the post office was confident it would be fine but I'm panicking lol!

I sent Olivia's off last week and it hasn't come back yet. I was told 3 weeks by post office x

If theres nothing wrong with it then usually 2-3 weeks xx

Phew, it should be okay then. When I first asked in the post office the woman said three weeks, but then I saw a second woman who wasn't as sure until another woman came and said it would be okay. I really shouldn't have left it so late, I'm stressed enough as it is about flying with a toddler
