paying storecard bill on phone

I just paid some off my Dorothy perkins card over the automated service system. It got to the end where it gives an authorisation code and then the phone just went quiet half way through the code. Will my payment still have gone through as it never actually got to the 'ur payment is now complete' stage? Im hoping its worked as I dont wanna have a £12 late payment charge. I rang up and checked balance and it hadnt been deducted but maybe thats cuz it takes a day or two to update the system. I rang up to speak to a 'person' but it put me on hold and I cant really afford to pay for the call as its mega expensive. Would prob add up to £12 just for the phonecall :/

Call your bank to check if the payment has been processed with them
