Thought Id ask here, as I know a few of you have applied. I dont qualify for SMP due to not earning enough weekly. I get roughly £220 paid 4 weekly doing my normal shifts. Ive done overtime nearly every month anyway so all my payslips are above this amount.

My question is, what amount on a payslip, is going to be TOO much?

Ive got one that I got over Christmas period and I got paid £700ish. Will that look weird if I send in one with that amount of pay, and then the others all around £300? Will that even be allowed?

Obviously Im sending in my SMP1 form which states I dont earn enough for SMP, and payslip shows that its overtime and bank holidays worked which is why I was paid so much.

Im worried if I send that one in, they might work the averages out and say I dont qualify for the mat allowance or something, but from what Ive read on here it says to send in the payslips with the MOST pay on as it can up the payments you get.

What was the biggest amount on your payslips that you sent in??

Thanks and sorry for the essay!

xx

Send in the one's where you earnt the most!!

As you're not entitled to SMP, it doesn't matter how much you earn, you'll definitely be entitled to MA. They work out an average amount over all the months you send it, so the more money you earn, the more MA you get :)

I got paid exactly the same amount every month, so I can't really comment, but if I had got paid more on any particular pay slips, those are the ones I would have sent.

Thanks, I dont think it should affect the claim atall, as the SMP1 is there as proof I dont earn enough so they should realise that its overtime Ive worked.

Ill send it in anyway.

Thanks :)

yeah i'd send ones with the most you earnt on them x
