PCOS and metformin?

Hi Ladies,

Any of my fellow PCOS ladies take metformin? Does it help with the PCOS severe fatigue and weight gain and other symptoms? I don't currently have insurance so I can't get a prescription, anyone know a site I can purchase them from for a reasonable price?

I lost about 10lbs on metformin. but the first 2 weeks were tough. nausea, headaches... I felt every symptom. sorry I don't know anywhere that sells them outright. good luck!!

I actually gain weight on metformin but it has helped with my pcos.

Metformin really helped my pcos, lost a little weight and my cycles became regular, roughly every 33 days with ovulation . good luck

I am on my 3rd day of Metformin, 500mg once a day. Will up it to 1000 in about a week. So far so good. Can anyone tell me how long roughly it takes to bring AF down?
